What is the MerKaBa?

According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, the term MerKaBa is actually three separate words. Mer, Ka, and Ba. Mer, as understood in ancient Egypt, was a specific kind of light seen as two electro-magnetic counter-rotating fields of light. Ka is the spirit and Ba is the physical body OR a being's interpretation of the Reality. Put the words together and we get MerKaBa, an electro-magnetic counter-rotating field of light that affects mind, spirit and body at the same time. In the Flower of Life workshop, the MerKaBa is understood as a living geometric structure that is intimately connected to our own physical/mental/emotional/spiritual system. It is an energetic extension of you.

I have come to understand that by working with the MerKaBa alongside emotional work, self awareness & discovery, creative and analytical, heart opening and higher self connection exercises, the more fluid communication becomes between the various levels of consciousness, as well as deepening your connection not only with your life, but also syncing with the rhythm of all life everywhere. The MerKaBa is not a fix-all approach - it will not make your life perfect or fix all your problems. But it will provide a solid ground from which to start or continue your own self awakening process.

What will learning the MerKaBa do for me?

When combined with other self reflexive exercises, some of the benefits that may arise are:

Remembrance and anchoring of Universal Love
Establishing a more direct connection to Higher Self
Ability to balance and focus energy more easily
Ability to see the unity of life more readily in your daily life
Grounding becomes easier and more noticeable
Ability to see your life situations from a more holistic perspective
Ability to bring in and use more unconditional love in your life

These are the most common experiences I have found among students.

As with any dedicated and serious practice, it is important that a student continues to work on self awareness, heart opening, communicating with Higher Self, and above all - remembers that learning does not end - there will always be new information, new interpretations, and growth potential.
